DVD: ViewFinder - Songs of Hope

This program looks at The Sacramento Philharmonic’s "Songs of Hope" performance as a soundtrack and backdrop for peace and understanding in the Middle East, and in our own region. We'll meet three musicians, Nader Abbassi, an Egyptian conductor of the Muslim faith; Taiseer Elias, an Arab/Israeli oud player of the Christian faith; and Sonia Rubinsky, an Israeli pianist of the Jewish faith. Even in these troubled times, music is a universal language that can promote dialogue, harmony, and cultural understanding.
